Thank you to the committee for the kind invitation to judge at this show and to the exhibitors for such a super entry in both numbers and quality.
Puppy Dog (2 entries)
1st | Warren FIELDRANGER'S KUBLA KHAN 11 months really eye-catching boy in super deep orange coat in great condition, strong blaze on wedge shaped head of good proportions, correct almond shaped eye blended well with coat, good front angles, nice depth to brisket, good turn of stifle, moved out well from most angles, just needs to tighten in front. |
2nd | Sevastopulo KYMIN WELSH WIZARD A baby next to 1 at just 7 months. Very raw at this stage but presents a compact, balanced profile with nice markings to finish. Needs to settle on the move but gave a good account of himself for his first time out, it will be nice to see how he progresses. |
Yearling Dog (1 entry)
1st | Cornes REDGINJAS MAUI Appealing boy just of of puppy and another in lovely coat and condition but built on a lighter frame, nice head shape with large well set ears, eye colour still to darken, good through the front but a shade long over the loin, pleasing rear angulation. Moved out well. |
Graduate Dog (3 entries)
1st | Warren FIELDRANGER'S KUBLA KHAN |
2nd | Akehurst RIPPLERUSH AVERBODE 2 year old in a slightly lighter orange jacket, well off for bone throughout, heavier wedge shaped head with neat well set ears, nice tight round paws, well ribbed and strong over the loin, would prefer a little more turn of stifle but this did not stop him moving out well. Just a tendency to stand a bit bum high on the day. |
3rd | Cornes REDGINJAS MAUI |
Post Graduate Dog (4 entries)
1st | Parr KYMIN UPSHI KREEK Eye-catching boy, compact and well boned throughout, masculine head of pleasing shape with darker pigment and eager expression, good strength of medium length neck into well laid shoulders, nice tight paws, good spring to ribs and correct length in loin. Moved out with good reach and drive. Close up for BD. |
2nd | Adshead AFONBACH WINTER IS COMING JW Taller dog of super breed type, most appealing wedge shaped head with kindly expression, a shade narrower in front but stood on well arched feet, held a good top line and had good rear angulation. Just moved a shade close behind. |
3rd | Warren FIELDRANGER'S KUBLA KHAN |
Res | Akehurst RIPPLERUSH AVERBODE |
Open Dog (3 entries)
1st | Wakely RIVERWATCHER NUKILIK Hard to believe this super boy is 8, presents such a balanced profile stood with masculine head with good eye shape and ear set, lovely arch of neck into well placed shoulders, correct front with neat well arched round paws, good depth to brisket, pleasing rear angles and really excels on the move dropping his head and moving with good reach and drive and correct out and back foot fall. BD and BOB. |
2nd | Wakely RIVERWATCHER KAVIKSUK 6 year old in super dark red jacket, wider through the skull with neat well set ears, straight front and holds his topline well. Did not have the reach and drive on the move of his kennel mate. |
3rd | Parr KYMIN NEPTUNE Really liked this boy, so balanced and super bone. Movement let him down today. |
Puppy Bitch (2 entries)
1st | Parr KYMIN WARAE TEG Just 7 months old this bitch was so settled and showed well for her young handler, she presented a nicely balanced outline for her tender age with a lovely feminine head of pleasing proportions with correct almond shape eye, good front and rear angulation. Super movement. BP. |
2nd | Wakely CRETSHENGAN EMERALD LAKE This pretty girl was maturer than one and showed well with lovely straight front, good strength over the loin, nice rear angles and attractive white markings. However, I preferred the head shape and front angulation of 1 on the day. |
Yearling Bitch (1 entry)
1st | Golding KYMIN VA VA VOOM AVEC WHENOVA Quality 16 months bitch with good bone and super balance throughout. Lovely head proportions with neat well set ears, straight front, super depth and spring of ribs and good rear angulation. Movement was good in profile but wide in front. |
Graduate Bitch (4 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Trickett RIPPLERUSH ORVAL FOR TOLLPEPPER Whilst this bitch of 2 years was finer in bone than the others in the class ,she has good breed type and overall balance and was the best mover in the class moving so true from all angles, which won her the class. |
2nd | Wakely CRETSHENGAN EMERALD LAKE |
3rd | Golding KYMIN VA VA VOOM AVEC WHENOVA |
Post Graduate Bitch (4 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Parr KYMIN UP HILL Really liked this bitch who presented a lovely picture both stood and on the move and had super bone throughout. Pretty wedged shaped head with sweetest expression. Stood on tight round paws. Good angles front and rear, though had a tendency to stand wide behind. Moved out well with good reach and drive. |
2nd | Trickett RIPPLERUSH ORVAL FOR TOLLPEPPER |
3rd | Adshead AFONBACH DANCE WITH DRAGONS JW |
Open Bitch (1 entry)
1st | Adshead DANEHAVEN VERMILION FOR AFONBACH SHCM Feminine all though but with enough bone, this girl has a typical wedged shaped head with good taper from stop to nose, straight through the front with elbows close to body and good layback of shoulder, good rear angles though would like a shade more turn of stifle, really drove around the ring and showed her socks off. BB and Reserve BOB. |
