Thankyou for your kind invitation to judge NSDTR, I had a good entry of mixed type to go over. Judging took place outside in the sunshine with plenty of ring space to move exhibits. I really enjoyed my day judging my breeds and was afforded a very warm welcome.
Junior Dog or Bitch (2 entries)
| 1st | Hunt WAKADUZE DOTAME 11 month b slightly out of coat. Slightly wedged shaped head, correctly coloured almond eyes, melting soft expression typical of the breed. Well placed medium size triangular ears framed her feminine head of good proportions, correct bite. Forechest developing well, deep chest and moderate tuck up, elbows close in. Good shoulder placement. Tail well placed and feathered, waving on the move. Level top line. Strong back. Good reach and strong drive from behind. BP |
| 2nd | Head EUSANIT RED RABBIT 7 month b in full glorious coat, nicely marked. Smaller in height than 1 at present but well developed in body. Pretty feminine slightly wedge shaped head, tight lip, correct bite. Good eye, well shaped ear correctly set. Strong neck leading to a solid well developed body. Tail set well and happily using on the move. Good bone. This puppy moved with ease in typical Toller fashion, just needs to come up on her legs to complete the picture. Lots to like here. |

| 1st | Head SPRITERUFUS TARANTELLA 3 year old d up to size in full rich red jacket really alert, tail constantly up and wagging. Super melting expression. Masculine without courseness. Amber almond shaped eyes blending with the coat. Slightly wedge shaped head, tight lip, correct bite. Neat well set triangular ears. Strong neck leading to strong body of good substance. Stands on straight front columns, medium bone. Short coupled, deep chest good spring of rib. Strong firm loin and back. Fairly plain in markings and workmanlike, level top line, a little longer hock to heal. Sound jaunty mover. Considered in the challenge but today out shone by the more mature bitch. |
| 2nd | Butler STELLENBOSCH SCUTULATA 3 year old b left her clothes behind hiding nothing. Slightly finer boned bitch with pretty feminine and slightly wedge shaped head with correct bite. Eye colour blending with coat. Deep chest, well sprung rib, level firm top line. Good front assembly. Well balanced fore and aft. True mover in all directions, strong driving rear action. |

| 1st | Butler STELLENBOSCH SAUSAULITO (AI) Mature b just shy of 8 years of age, not showing her age at all. Rich red and white jacket. Compact lady with amber eyes, soft expression, ears of good size and shape well set. Muzzle of good length and strength, slightly rounded head, strong neck flowing in to well laid shoulder. Good depth of chest, elbows well in. Ribs well sprung, short strong loin and level top line. Super balance. Good bone, straight front legs, good return of stifle. Neat strong feet. Everything flows on this feminine girl from head to tail and she strides out with purpose and that typical jaunty Toller movement, absolutely foot perfect which won her BOB. |
| 2nd | Butler LOREVY SHUGAR FOR STELLENBOSCH (IMP RUS) Veteran d of 9 years, showing the enthusiasm of a much younger dog! Different type to 1, more refined head and muzzle, still correct. Slightly wedge shape head, excellent ear set. Tight lip, almond shaped eyes blending with his straight orange jacket. Excellent front assembly! Strong neck. Very well muscled, strong back. Good spring of rib. Deep chest. Medium bone, straight front legs, good balance front and rear. Tail well set and waving. Strong loin. Powerful true mover, his handler had only just met him and they just took off around the ring, enthusiasm was on tap here today and there was no stopping this boy. |
