I should like to thank the exhibitors for accepting me so sportingly as a replacement judge.
Puppy Dog (2 entries)
1st | Knowles AVONWHARFE REVELATION AT MENSTONIA A promising young dog with a typical outline. His front movement was more positive than the second dog. Excellent level topline held on the move. Ribs deep, strong hindquarters. Moved well. BP. |
2nd | Stacey & Copeland AVONWHARFE HALLELUJAH This puppy is not as mature in body as winner and was inclined to pin in at the front. Pleasing head and expression. |
Junior Dog (4 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Harding & Whitehill TREVARGH THE ENTERTAINER AT BRIZEWOOD A lovely example of the breed who moved freely. In full coat. Excellent lay of shoulder, balanced by well made hindquarters. Masculine head. Level topline. Correct feet. RBD. I wished I had two BD cards! |
2nd | Mortimore BALBO ANGELS OF BARANYA (IMP HRV) A different type. Strong bone, well bent stifles. Moved soundly but expression spoilt by roundish eyes. |
3rd | Hawkins TREVARGH TICKLED TO DEATH |
Post Graduate Dog (4 entries)
1st | Powley DANEHAVEN SEVERN An attractive young dog. Good front and rear angulation which produced good sound movement. Masculine head with dark eyes giving the correct expression. Ribs deep and well sprung. A balanced dog. |
2nd | Rogers EUSANIT TAKE IT EASY A 2 year old dog who didn't move as well as the winner, as his conformation was not as good. Eyes rather light but there is still time for them to darken. |
3rd | Morgan-Lloyd & Parr KYMIN GLYNDWR |
Res | Palfrey WYLYERIVER WARBLER |
Open Dog (5 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Smith CAMUSMOR GLEN SCOTIA AT DALLYVISTA A beautiful dog who excels in conformation and breed type. Well laid shoulders flowing into a strong level topline and balanced by strong hindquarters. Moved very soundly with correct tail carriage. Pleasing head. BD and BOB. |
2nd | Westwood & Johnson CAN CH LITTLERIVER'S COLONIAL BOY WITH TOLLYHIMMEL (IMP CAN) A pleasing dog who moved well. Correct shape and outline. Excellent tight feet. Strong over loin and hindquarters. Good head and expression. |

Res | Morgan-Lloyd & Parr KYMIN GLYNDWR |
Puppy Bitch (1 entry)
1st | Powley DANEHAVEN RED ROCK An attractive young 7 months old puppy who is still immature. She moved very freely. Sweet feminine head. Good tight feet. Level topline held on the move. RBB. |
Junior Bitch (4 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Woollerton FOXDOWN LOOK AT ME An appealing young bitch when she behaves. She was very distracted by the ground smells, the previous breed in the ring had left titbits. She is typical in outline and moves well due to good front and rear angulation. |
2nd | Turton-Price CORLITGOLD MACAWI OF PALTON This young bitch is shorter on the leg and moved rather close behind, but has an attractive feminine head and good shaped feet. |
3rd | Mortimore FOXDOWN ANNIE SO ROUGH |
Post Graduate Bitch (6 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Powley DANEHAVEN TANGIER This was a difficult class to judge as there was no obvious winner. This bitch had better shoulder angulation than the other exhibits and good strong hindquarters. She moved soundly. |
2nd | Morgan-Lloyd KYMIN PLEASURE ZONE A well bodied bitch who was close up to winner, but the winner has stronger hindquarters and rear action. |
3rd | Mortimore FOXDOWN MY FAIR LADY |
Res | Mortimore FOXDOWN CECILIA |
VHC | Trickett LIGHTNING STORM OF TOLLPEPPER |
Open Bitch (10 entries, 4 absent)
1st | Hawkins CAMUSMOR CAOL ILA OF TREVARGH An easy winner in this class. A quality bitch who moves very well, well bodied, correct body proportions. Shoulder and rear angulations good and balanced by a level topline. Feminine head with high set ears giving a pleasing expression. BB. |
2nd | Morgan-Lloyd KYMIN PLEASURE ZONE To choose second was a difficult decision. This bitch was more balanced than the others. She had very good feet but was a little straight in stifle. |
