There was an entry of 18 dogs making 20 entries. I was a little disappointed with the overall quality, type and size were very mixed too. Some seemed rather short on the leg and long in body and movement generally was not as I had expected.
Junior Dog (2 entries)
1st | Smith DINASKARREK'S RED DASHER Yearling, masculine head, clean coat. Moved OK but did not have a lot of concentration showmanship-wise. |
2nd | Morse EUSANIT RED DEVIL ROCKET 9 months, rather short on the leg at the moment and long cast. Good coat, moved well behind, sympathetically handled. |
Post Graduate Dog (2 entries)
1st | Knowles AVONWHARFE REVELATION AT MENSTONIA Up to size, lovely coat, strong body, webbed feet, quality head, kind expression, well shown and handled, responsive showman, good bone. RBD. |
2nd | Mortimore BALBO ANGELS OF BARANYA (IMP HRV) Did not relax which showed in his movement, panting throughout. Eyes looked tense and worried, coat not at its best. Good body and depth. |
Open Dog (4 entries)
1st | Harding & Whitehill TREVARGH THE ENTERTAINER AT BRIZEWOOD Easy winner, easily the best mover I had in this breed today, good outline and overall proportions, no mistaking him for anything but a positive male in head and outlook, in fit muscular condition, animated showman, excellent coat, bone and depth of chest, well sprung ribs, really looked the part. BOB. |
2nd | Roffey IR SH CH CAMUSMOR I HAD A DREAM WITH ACANUCK Good type and size, I liked him standing as he has a very good outline, typical head, firm body, well handled. Hind movement cow hocked and a bit of a let down in an otherwise smart looking Toller. |

Junior Bitch (2 entries)
1st | Black DINASKARREK'S RED VIXEN AT SEAHAVEN Litter sister to JD winner, very feminine, attractive youngster, in excellent condition, easy mover, responded so well to her handler, well proportioned, good topline, pleasing head. Needs to strengthen and firm up in front movement. RBB. |
2nd | Roffey ALLIANCE DE LA VIE DREAMLAND EXPRES WITH ACANUCK (IMP NLD) 10 months, carrying a bit of puppy fat but still moved quite well. Quality head, well developed nostrils, good legs and feet, happy character, showed OK. BP. |
Post Graduate Bitch (4 entries)
1st | Black DINASKARREK'S RED VIXEN AT SEAHAVEN |
2nd | Woollerton FOXDOWN LOOK AT ME WITH CULMGILLIE Tendency to stand a little slack in topline but her handler could rectify this by keeping her more alert and focussed. Attractive head, good body and bone. Side gait looked fine but failed in hind movement going away from me. |
3rd | Turton-Price CORLITGOLD MACAWI OF PALTON |
Res | Mortimore FOXDOWN ICEBERG |
Open Bitch (5 entries, 3 absent)
Absentees for the first time.
1st | Macleod & Hussey CAMUSMOR MADJESTIC VISION Litter sister to 2nd in OD, good head, intelligent expression, well bodied, held topline on the move. Could be a little stronger behind but looked well from the side. Handled to best advantage. BB. |
2nd | Mortimore FOXDOWN SUMMER SUNSHINE 6 years, feminine head, moved and showed quite well, gentle personality, eager to please, good body. |
