This was my first Championship Show appointment and I felt very privileged to have an entry of 60 dogs. Thank you to all the exhibitors who accepted my decisions with the sincerity that they were made. Please do not let the sportsmanship diminish from our breed. On the whole found good head shapes and ears appear to be improving. Some had rather untypical expression, being rather too hard and lacking the 'friendly, alert expression' called for in the standard. Some were overweight or lacked muscle condition. Three exhibits had misaligned teeth. Rather disappointed and surprised at how dirty my hands were following judging. Two dogs had rather matted coat on the inner thigh area. Presentation of dogs is important in this level of competition.
Puppy Dog (8 entries, 1 absent)
A strong class of puppies, showing promise for the future. Sure they will change places many times as they grow. Discovered afterwards that my first three placings were all from the same litter, the others in the class were very unlucky to come up against these three who are all growing so nicely in proportion.
1st | Andrews ERIKACHEN RUARI Nicely bodied and of size to be expected for age. Good head developing with nice ear shape and placement. Eyes blending in well with coat. Preferred front and movement to his second placed brother at present. Has less white markings too, but still correct. A change of handler occurred in the challenge for Best Puppy, I hope new handler does not mind me mentioning but she would benefit from further ringcraft. BP. |
2nd | Moossun ERIKACHEN ARDEN Good head with attractive white markings, making an eye catching dog. Grown on well at the moment with a lot of bone. Very well muscled rear quarters and second thigh. |

1st | Clark FLANOVA GLENDRONACH Attractive head and good ears with pleasant white markings. Nice overall shape but needs to body up and mature, just be patient. In good muscular condition. |
2nd | Collier EUSANIT THUNDER FLASH A nice shaped head, spoilt by ear carriage. Another good outline and preferred front columns on this dog but he appeared a little overwhelmed by the event. |
3rd | Morse EUSANIT RED DEVIL ROCKET |
Post Graduate Dog (9 entries, 1 absent)

Lovely class of quality dogs.
1st | Harding & Whitehill TREVARGH THE ENTERTAINER AT BRIZEWOOD Makes a lovely outline when standing, typical head with good eyes and ears making a kind expression. Strong neck into correct shoulder and upper arm, has the strength to carry large game if required. Presented with well groomed coat and in hardy condition. Very glamorous on the move showing a jaunty Toller style. He just commands the ring with his presence and therefore became BD & BOB. |
2nd | Smith CAMUSMOR GLEN SCOTIA AT DALLYVISTA Similar type to class winner and many of the same comments apply. Another typical head with correct eyes and ears. Coat well presented. Did not move with as much style as winner. RBD. |
3rd | La Turner HILLSCOURT BARON THEOBALD |
Res | Stobbart CAMUSMOR WHATADREAM |

Puppy Bitch (7 entries, 2 absent)
A class of complete babies which made movement difficult to assess sometimes.
1st | Gibson ERIKACHEN AOIFE DEARG Pretty head developing with nice ears and good length of neck. Good straight front columns of correct bone. Makes a nice outline, an attractive type. Sister to Puppy Dog winner, unfortunately she appeared to go lame in the challenge for best puppy. |
2nd | Powley KYMIN IN THE MOOD Sweet head and pretty markings. Nice shape girl, very playful on the move. Coat coming through nicely. |
3rd | Mortimore THREEGRACES DRIFTWIND |
Res | Watton ERIKACHEN AINE |

Junior Bitch (7 entries)
1st | Collins DECOYMANS PIPER SILVERBELL Only just out of Puppy, showing the playful traits of the breed. When standing still showed good angulations front and rear. Pretty head framed by correct ears. Right amount of bone. New coat coming through. Moved tidily when settled. I rather liked her but she needs some ring training and could do well in the future. |

Some of the bitches in this class could be shown to advantage by moving a little faster to show the drive they are capable of.
1st | Stubbs ALLIANCE DE LA VIE GILLY'S FELAN OF LORUSTE (IMP NLD) Very feminine head with correctly placed ears. Straight front legs in to good angulation. Makes a good shape standing and has nice overall balance. Best mover in class and handled to advantage. |

1st | Gibson CAMUSMOR ANY DREAM ULDO FOR ERIKACHEN Pretty bitch with good eyes, ears, and expression. Strong, straight front and good spring of rib. Moved well in full double coat. Well muscled but would like to see her carry a little less weight for optimum condition. BB. |
2nd | Parker CAMUSMOR GLENMORANGIE AT LADAKHNOVA Striking bitch for colour and markings, another good head. Judged her before a few years ago and she has matured nicely. Now carrying a good coat and in top muscular condition. Covered the ground well. Just preferred overall balance of winner. RBB. |
