I was truly honoured to be asked to judge this most attractively marked, medium sized gundog. With a large entry of 118 dogs making 151 entries. I did find that there was some scope in type and size and substance. Presentation was first class, coat condition and colour was wonderful, so rich, double coated mostly and nothing looks more attractive than the white markings on the red or orange background. Temperaments were wonderful. Some of the older exhibits of the breed were a little overweight and could join me on my diet. I was impressed with a lot of the movement and the style of movement with really good head carriages and positive use of tail action, unfortunately some of the bitches I found lacked precision in hind action and could have had more strength when going away, definitely not convergence in my understanding. Most gave a good account of themselves on the day and I will take away with me very positive thoughts about the breed.

| 1st | Smith CAMUSMOR GLEN SCOTIA AT DALLYVISTA Just over 10 years and still difficult to get past, excellent type, with a super wedge shaped head with good expression, balanced muzzle to skull, good reach of neck, well shaped, very good oval bone and round feet, has retained his strength in pasterns, classic body proportions, good bend of stifle and width of second thigh. Excellent coat and colour, good white markings. In his prime, this must surely have been one of the best Toller males around. Can still move with purpose with good tail carriage. In tip-top condition. A real credit to his owners. |
| 2nd | Westwood & Johnson CAN/IR SH CH LITTLERIVER'S COLONIAL BOY WITH TOLLYHIMMEL (IMP CAN) Another super male of excellent type with a balanced head, has moderate stop, good shape to muzzle and pleasing expression, strong well shaped neck into decent shoulders, carrying more weight than 1 and not quite so good in front and feet. Has a strong topline, strong loin, excellent hind angulation, moved really well with drive. Head and tail carriage excellent. Good colour. |
| 3rd | La Turner HILLSCOURT BARON THEOBALD A very good quality male, lighter framed and higher on the leg proportionately than 1 and 2. Active energetic mover with excellent head and markings, good eye and expression, medium length of neck, strong level topline, good tailset, good oval bone and feet, moderate hind angulation, possesses a jacket of decent fit, lovely rich colour. |

| 1st | Fielder & Ashton EUSANIT STAND AND DELIVER Stood alone, this rather rangy but confident male, very good balanced head, pleasing expression, good shape to neck, straight forelegs and really tight round feet. I would like a bit more width of chest though, he has good depth of body and topline, well muscled, very good hind quarters, shown in a good textured coat, very well presented, nicely marked. Moved really well. |

| 1st | Macleod & Hussey CAMUSMOR STARGAZER Liked this masculine typy male, well up to size, with really good balanced head, good shape and width to skull, nicely set ears, moderate stop, pleasing shape to muzzle with nice darkish eye and good expression, medium length of neck into good shoulders, strong level topline, pleasing bone and feet, needs to develop more in under carriage, decent hindquarters, shown and presented well, moved a dream, sound and energetic. I understand this gives him his JW today. |
| 2nd | Ratchford VIPER ANGELS OF BARANYA (IMP CRO) Just over 14 months of age and shows a lot of promise, nicely balanced all through, has a pleasing head and expression, moderate length of neck, good shoulders, pleasing straight bone and feet, a good level topline, good angle to croup, perhaps slightly longer in back than 1. He has a nice body shape and moderate length of rear pasterns. He put in a steady performance on the move. |
| 3rd | Powley CHRILIKAS DUKE OF DANEHAVEN (IMP NOR) Another really promising male of good proportions, blends together well, loved his type, coat and colour, excellent head, with moderate stop, decent eye colour, very good earset, would like a bit more length of neck compared to 1, but has good depth of chest, but not quite the front of 1 and 2 although he has correct bone. He has good spring of rib, well covered over croup, decent tailset and length of tail. Can stand a little uneven in top line at times which I am sure is down to growth patterns. Acquitted himself well on the move. |

| 2nd | Anstead RIVERWATCHER ATKA A lovely top quality typy youngster of good all round construction, very nice head with good width of skull, nicely framed by good ear set and shape with rounded tips, moderate stop, nice shape to balanced muzzle, clean in neck, with moderate length, flows into shoulders and a level topline, good depth of chest, strong loin, solid oval bone and round feet. Very good body shape. Not quite the hind angulation of 1, but really spirited mover, excellent head and tail carriage. Lovely white markings on a quality coat. |
| 3rd | Malte Benien RED RAISINS BAYARD SKEET Pleasing quality male with good masculine head, correct eye shape and colour, strong moderately short neck, not quite as strong and even in topline, as 1 and 2. Shown in correct coat colour of good texture, but lacked a little in white markings, has good proportions and shape, very good hind angulation, looks good on the move, very positive mover. |

| 1st | Cox DECOYMANS PIPER DREAMTIME IN ICESTORM A typy male, well up to size, very well made, with a good outline and good height to length ratios, strong level topline. He has a pleasing wedge shaped head and good expression, with moderate stop, medium length of neck, into good shoulders, good spring of ribs and width of loin, good underline, nice bone and feet, good bend of stifle with decent second thigh. Shown in correct coat, moved very well with springy action. |
| 2nd | Moult & Savory ACANUCK SOUL REBEL OF CROFTWELL Loved this typy male, very good balanced head, with pleasing expression, good oval bone and feet, lovely shape of neck. He stands a little straighter in stifle than 1, which had a knock on effect to his topline. On the move he was positive, energetic with good head and tail carriage. Loved his rich red coat which really follows his body contours, shown in excellent condition, nice white markings. |
| 3rd | Harding & Whitehill GLENDERMACKI FOX CRAGG AT BRIZEWOOD An attractive male, a little on the rangy side with regards to length of leg, good balanced skull to muzzle of the correct shape, good eye colour, pleasing ear set, thought his neck a little more than medium in length, he has good width of chest, a good front and rounded feet although I would have liked to see his front legs a little more under him, he has a good spring of rib, strong loin, with very good bend of stifle, shown in a rich coat enhanced by his white markings. Moving well. |

| 1st | Holt RIVERWATCHER K'EYUSH WITH MENSTONIA This mature male was really quite superb on the move in profile. Pleasing wedged shaped skull, moderate stop and thoughtful expression, strong muzzle, very nice shape to neck, good shoulders, best of bone and feet, very good proportions and body shape, good width of second thigh and bend of stifle, deep red in colour, white markings to feet and chest, in superb condition, carrying just the right amount of weight. |
| 2nd | Burchell TIVALAKE JINGLE BELL ROCK A close decision between 1 and this first class male, mature looks very balanced when standing although had a bit of a tendency to sidewind a little compared to the winner on the move. Has a very good head, with broadish skull. Shapely neck with good lay of shoulders, good width of chest, straight forelegs, good depth of chest, level topline and good spring of ribs, strong loin, good hind angulation, nicely muscled with medium length to rear pasterns, everything just flows together. |
| 3rd | Baker TIVALAKE COOL YULE Smaller frame than 1 and 2 and workmanlike in appearance, disappointed with his attitude on the move, tail down, but a sound mover. Pleasing head, might be a tad deep in stop, good eye placement and colour. He looked a little bit stuffy in neck and lost his topline, although he has good front, pleasing oval bone and good feet. I liked his general body shape, pleasing colour and coat, white on one foot goes fractionally above pasterns. |

| 1st | Powley DANEHAVEN DETROIT Stood out for his correct body proportions and good breed type, excellent coat and colour, although the rough of wavy hair over his shoulders is acceptable. This dog looked stunning in profile movement, with good reach and drive, he put in a steady powerful performance on every movement phase. Has text book rear action when going away. I thought he had a lovely balanced head and typical expression from well placed eyes of the correct shape and colour. Medium length to neck, level topline and excellent angle to croup giving a good tailset. Moderate length of back, strong loin and excellent hindquarters, rear pasterns well let down. CC and BOB. |
| 2nd | Harding & Whitehill SH CH TREVARGH THE ENTERTAINER AT BRIZEWOOD Another outstanding male, slightly different in type from 1 and built on different proportions, superb head and expression, good muzzle. I thought his neck was longer than medium and his length of back slightly longer than the winner. He has good straight forelegs with plenty of bone, slightly angled pasterns for resilience, shown in superb coat and condition, has excellent conformation, good shape to his body, excellent hind angulation, rear pasterns again well let down. I am not sure why he is moved so fast. On going away he did not quite have the strength of the winners hind action. RCC. |
| 3rd | Loebel AM G CH/CH DANEHAVEN MCEACHERN Really stylised Toller, with lots to like, good size and shape, nicely balanced, very good head shape, beautiful dark eye and good ear shape and set, very stylish shape to neck, good shoulders, very nice ribs, well covered body, strong loin, topline can dip a little compared to 1 and 2, needs watching. I liked his tail set. He has a good front, pleasing feet, good depth of chest and undercarriage, good width of second thigh and well bent hindquarters, another free easy mover, beautifully presented, excellent coat condition and white markings. Three top class males. |

Motors around the ring with such purpose.. |

She really moves out well, great profile on the move, very typical head with pretty expression. She was well constructed, with straight forelegs, well up on pasterns, she has a good body shape and moderately short loin, very good hind angulation, with medium length of hocks, shown in good coat of correct texture. |
| 2nd | Macleod & Hussey CAMUSMOR MADJESTIC VISION Another quality bitch, litter sister to winner, but taller than 1 with a bit more daylight, but otherwise, excellent body proportions. She has a lovely head and gets the award for sad expression of the day. On the plus side she has a strong neck, good topline. Very good width of chest, straight forelegs. Her back is of moderate length, with a strong loin and very good hind angulation. I liked the bright coat colour with good white markings, very good mover, sound and positive. |

She has good depth of chest, good spring of ribs, pleasing loin and croup, moderate hind angulation not quite the rear angulation of one, but with medium length of rear pasterns. She has a rich colour/condition to her coat and white markings, superb presentation. Moved a dream. |

She has a good depth of chest, strong loin, well bent hindquarters. Another very good positive mover. |

| 2nd | Gibson SH CH ERIKACHEN AOIFE DEARG I loved this quality bitch from the outset and it was a really close decision between 1 and 2. This bitch was lighter in frame, but more compact. She has a cracking head, feminine and perfectly balanced with good width of skull, moderate stop and has dark expressive almond shaped eyes, correct length of neck, good forequarters, can still develop a little more in body, good shape to rump and moderate hind angulation, another first class mover, in good coat. |
| 3rd | Moult & Savory DECOYMANS PIPER MAPLE OF CROFTWELL Fabulous mover in profile, really motors on, built on smaller lines than 1 and 2. Has a good head and eye, strong topline, lacked a little in height to the winners, coat a bit untidy in length but of good slightly harsh texture. Her movement won her this place. |
