My thanks to my very efficient stewards. I was worried to watch so many dogs with poor hind movement, especially wobbly hocks. I also found three incorrect mouths. On the plus, side heads & ears were good, as were coats & depth of chests.
Minor Puppy Dog (2 entries)
1st | Woollerton CAMUSMOR CHILI PEPPER AT CULMGILLIE Two strong, well bodied puppies. The first pup was more mature & had more coat. I liked his head shape, but when moving his hocks were wobbly, this could improve with maturity. |
2nd | Crosby BORN TO RUN A well grown pup, with correct head shape & pigmentation. Good coat texture, but white markings on inner front legs above the pasterns. Tail well feathered & carried correctly. |
Puppy Dog (2 entries)
1st | Cummins DECOYMANS PIPER PHEONIX A compact dog of typical size & shape. Good wedge shaped head with neat ears. Jaunty movement with a well feathered tail carried at the correct angle when moving. Hocks could be firmer. |
2nd | Daniels KYMIN OUTLAW A longer cast pup. Not as balanced in profile as the winner. Good depth of chest, coat texture correct, & a pleasing head. Feet could be tighter. |
Junior Dog (3 entries)
1st | Reader EUSANIT HIGH FLYER AT CHILLBRAV This dog had the best movement in the class, springy, but sound. Good head & expression with neat high set ears. Shoulders well laid & strong quarters, deep chest, level topline & good tight round feet. |
2nd | Cummins DECOYMANS PIPER PHEONIX |
3rd | Daniels KYMIN OUTLAW |
Post Graduate Dog (5 entries)
1st | Moult & Savory ACANUCK SOUL REBEL OF CROFTWELL A balanced dog with the correct outline in profile & on the move. In good coat with feathered tail used in the typical way. Shoulders & quarters correctly angled, body strong & deep in chest. Pleasing head of correct proportions, a true Toller. RBD. |
2nd | Fielder & Ashton EUSANIT STAND AND DELIVER A dog with a much larger frame & not such a good front as the winner. I liked his typical head & expression, but preferred the outline & movement of the first dog. |
3rd | Cummins DECOYMANS PIPER PHEONIX |

1st | Cox DECOYMANS PIPER DREAMTIME IN ICESTORM I liked this dog the last time that I judged him, & I still do. When standing & moving he shows the true points of the breed. His front & rear angulations are good, resulting in fluid, but springy movement with the traditional curved waving tail. Masculine head, wedge shaped with high set neat ears & alert expression. Body well made, topline level & excellent feet. BD. |
2nd | Reader EUSANIT VISIONS OF CHILLBRAV This dog was not as good in shoulders, or in front as the winner, but had a pleasing profile & a good & typical head. He had well muscled rearquarters, a level topline & the set of tail was typical. |

Minor Puppy Bitch (5 entries, 3 absent)
1st | Carnovale KYMIN ORANGE BLOSSOM OF RHEE A lovely puppy who showed very well for her age. Good shoulder & rear angulation which resulted in a free driving light gait. In good coat with a feathered tail which she used traditionally. Head very typy with wedge shape & small high set ears. Body proportions correct. BP & RBB. |
2nd | Newson TIVALAKE MORE THAN WISHES An attractive puppy, but shoulders not as well laid as the winners, & not so lively but a typical outline & a lovely coat. |
Puppy Bitch (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Cox ALLIANCE DE LA VIE RED THISTLE IN ICESTORM (IMP NLD) A promising puppy with a correct profile & attitude. Angulations good in front & in the rear. Pleasing head of correct shape with small ears. Lovely free sound movement. |
Junior Bitch (5 entries, 2 absent)
1st | Savory ALLIANCE DE LA VIE RABBIT RACER (IMP NLD) This bitch was what I was looking for. She fits the Standard so well, & has just the right temperament. She has a compact & balanced body with the correct ratio of leg to body. Shoulders & quarters well angulated & muscled which meant that she moved soundly & freely around the ring, waving her tail. She was the best mover today. She also has a beautiful head, I shall watch her career with interest. BB & BOB. |
2nd | Claxton TOLLERICE BERTUZZI A finer boned bitch with less substance & not so typical. She moved soundly & with drive & has an attractive correctly shaped head. |
3rd | Attwater TOLLERICE BRIGLEY |
Post Graduate Bitch (2 entries)
1st | Hodson SEAHAVEN RED ANDROMEDA Two very different bitches. I preferred the bone on this bitch & her body shape. Good depth of chest, moderate angles front & rear. Level topline with well set on tail with good feathering. Pleasing head proportions. |
2nd | Daniels LOUISELYN TALLULA GOLD STAR This bitch has a lovely coat & typically shaped head & ears. Her feet could be smaller. |
Open Bitch (5 entries, 2 absent)
1st | Buckingham KYMIN MEDART Again two different bitches. I liked the winners overall make & shape which is more typical than the second bitch, but sadly she is overweight & this is spoiling her outline at the moment. Her feet could be tighter, but she moved soundly, & has the correct head & ear shape. |
2nd | Moult & Savory CORLITGOLD TAHLIA OF CROFTWELL This bitch has a smaller frame & less bone, making her not typical of the breed, but is a very good mover. |
3rd | Daniels LOUISELYN TALLULA GOLD STAR |
Veteran Bitch (1 entry)
1st | Moult & Savory CORLITGOLD MALILA OF CROFTWELL A very lively veteran who moves better, & with more energy, than a lot of the younger bitches. BV. |
