Puppy Dog (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Smith CAMUSMOR GLEN SCOTIA AT DALLYVISTA Stunning 7 month old, so good I blinked! Has construction, sound springy movement, perfect head & eyes for his age, of good size. Just needs to go on as he is doing & he will be a great ambassador for the breed in this country. |
Junior Dog (no entries)
Post Graduate Dog (3 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Hunt NAROD AROONA Good size, well boned, strong feet, a little overlong for a compact breed. Pleasing skull, fairly tight lips as they should be, well bodied, good topline, moved out well & tail nicely over, but luckily only the hair was touching his back. |
2nd | Winwood & Ward MELANITTA FAZZINATION Taller boy & folds his ears back, beautiful head, correct tapering of muzzle & almond eyes, OK in front although needs a bit more forechest. Deep chest, nice rear, lovely waving tail & double coat. |
Open Dog (5 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Burt & Ashton DECOYMANS SWEDISH DESIGN 9 years & a real star, has lost some muscle tone over his shoulders but his movement is spot on. Typy head from occiput to nose, has some slight lift in his ears, good angulation, a wee bit long in body. Terrific mover. |
2nd | Mortimore LYONHOUSE BASIL In good coat, liked his head & sound front, excellent body & topline. A wee bit straight in stifles, excellent tail & carriage. Mucked about standing but moved out well. I preferred his head to 3 but he too was a nice dog. |
3rd | Hunt & Hempston ISAC VIKING |
Res | Stacey & Copeland NEWFANOVA NORDIC XANADU OF AVONWHARFE |
Puppy Bitch (3 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Parr KYMIN ZEST FOR PLEASURE Correct size, & for her size she is well boned, promising throughout but very raw, growing up at the rear a trifle but that should settle OK. Tail set a wee bit low otherwise first class & she is so sound. |
2nd | Somerset RUBYRON NAUGHTY BUT NICE Bigger but a little straighter in shoulders, good swimming feet, attractive wedge shaped head, topline dips at present but muscling up would help. Bouncy mover, great temperament. |
Junior Bitch (2 entries)
1st | Lovett CANDEEBAR CHOCTAW DESIGN Lovely colour & beautiful head, eyes & expression, nice very slight lift to ears, good neck & shoulders set well back, shows good extension in profile movement, feet webbed but too flat, good body, a little too long in loin. Powerful impressive rear, moved out well & her tail is set on correctly as an extension of a slightly sloping croup. |
2nd | Stacey & Copeland QUOYGARD DAYDREAM BELIEVER OF AVONWHARFE More compact which is better but she doesn't quite have the correct head & she lacks bone. Out of coat on the day. Good angulation behind & lovely steady temperament. |
Post Graduate Bitch (1 entry)
1st | Mortimore FOXDOWN AMBILA Oversized but lovely bone, broad slightly rounded skull, ears could be set higher & carried better, so muscled up a pleasure to go over her, in good coat for the time of the year. Tail curls a little too much. Moved well but likes to play games! |
Open Bitch (6 entries, 2 absent)
1st | Burt & Ashton MAPLESBRIGHT DREAM DESIRE Needs a firmer temperament & her tail was down but she just managed to do enough! Lovely bitch, so typical all through, moves very well, correct shape & size, nice webbed feet, good colour. |
2nd | Mortimore FOXDOWN AMBER Rather portly & overweight. Well boned, reasonable head, but ears not correct, still has a lovely topline & carries herself well. |
3rd | Somerset FOXDOWN PERIWINKLE OF RUBYRON |
Res | Woollerton FOXDOWN GILLIE |
