1st | Palfrey FLUSHPOINT WHATA ACCIDENT FOR MELANITTA SHCM (IMP SWE) Bitch of excellent quality. Most typical head and expression. Good shaped ears, well set with an alert expression. In good coat and excellent condition. Moved well. |
2nd | Reader EUSANIT VISIONS OF CHILLBRAV Dog I have admired before. Masculine head and alert expression. Tight feet and in excellent working condition. Good depth of chest and a level topline, held on the move. |
3rd | Strevens DECOYMANS PIPER CINDER AT TOLLISTY RL2 |
Res | Powley DANEHAVEN RED ROCK |
Puppy Dog (6 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Ward MELANITTA PALMATA Just 6 months old, already showing a masculine and typical head shape and expression. Fantastic bone for one so young. Moved well. |
2nd | Fincham DANEHAVEN RALPH Another lovely pup. Showing plenty of promise. Would like to see him fill out in head a little more. Would benefit from some extra ringcraft training but couldn't ignore the quality here. |
3rd | Anstead RIVERWATCHER KILA |
Res | Johnson TARNLAIKERS RED HEFIN |
VHC | Hickling DANEHAVEN ENGLISHMAN |
Junior Dog (3 entries)
1st | Barker EUSANIT SILVR DREAM MACHINE What a stunning dog, both in profile and on the move. He took my eye from entering the ring. In excellent coat and condition. Typical masculine head and excellent front angulation. Shoulders well laid back leading to a straight topline and well muscled quarters. Powerful rear demonstrated perfectly in his free and easy movement around the ring. At one with his handler. I will watch this team with much interest. Pushed my BD very hard in the challenge. RBD RBIS |
2nd | Newson TIVALAKE LET'S MISBEHAVE JW Another stunning boy of excellent quality. Shown to his absolute advantage by his very able hander. Loved his masculine head and expression. In excellent coat and presented in superb condition. Well balanced throughout, moved well front and rear. Would have just liked to see a little more upper arm to enable greater reach in front to complement his powerful drive. Shame to meet 1 today. Another boy I will follow with interest. |
3rd | Adshead AFONBACH WINTER IS COMING JW |
Novice Dog (1 entry, 1 absent)
Graduate Dog (2 entries)
1st | Johnson STELLENBOSCH ALAMEDA OF TARNLAIKERS (AI) This young man was clearly enjoying his day out and making his handler work hard for the placing, but I just couldn't ignore the quality here. Just loved his head, kind expression and that typical, cheeky toller personality I love so much. Stood well in profile with good angulation fore and aft. Moved so well when settled. |
2nd | Foster-Brown STELLENBOSCH TIBERON (AI) This young man was handled to perfection and presented in the best possible light. Head not as typical as his brother. Stood balanced in profile and held perfectly on the move. Slightly upright in shoulder but moved with power and style. |
Post Graduate Dog (5 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Adshead AFONBACH WINTER IS COMING JW This young dog scored in substance and bone for me in this class. Standing on a larger frame he shows a balanced outline and moved with drive. |
2nd | Wright CAMUSMOR CROWN ROYAL Just a little finer than I prefer. Handled so well and moved around the ring with style. Just wanted "more" of him to complete the picture for me today. |
3rd | Burgess CAMUSMOR KING ROB |
Res | Collins & Powley DANEHAVEN KOVIK |
Limit Dog (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Powley DANEHAVEN TUNULIC Well-made boy and such sound movement. Unfortunately, a little heavy and not as !medium sized" as I would have liked. Excellent bone and presented in sound condition with excellent muscle. |
Open Dog (4 entries)
1st | Titovets & Eremin HR CH MACDREAMS TRENT FROM CASHEL VALE JW RL3 (IMP NLD) Couldn't ignore the quality of this dog today. He demanded my attention from the moment he stepped into the ring. His head and expression screamed out the "typical toller" that I was looking for and the rest of him certainly didn't disappoint. Well placed shoulders and a good front angulation. Chest deep and a moderately sprung rib. Strong bone and good substance throughout. Fantastic rear angulation and well let down hocks. Correct tail set, which was carried confidently in his springy, powerful movement around the ring. Such a pleasure to award him BD, BSW and BIS. |
2nd | Anstead MULTI CH RIVERWATCHER ATKA Another male of good quality. Scored well in his masculine head and positive movement. Preferred the turn of stifle of my winner today. |
3rd | Ward FLUSHPOINT WHATA ARISTOCRAT AT MELANITTA (IMP SWE) |
Res | Palfrey FOXDOWN BERTIE ALLSORTS SHCM |
Puppy Bitch (4 entries)
1st | Burgess MELANITTA SINAMAY Very pretty puppy of just 6 months old. Very settled and content in the ring for one so young. Loved her head, correct earset and shape. Fantastic bone and good angulation throughout. Stood a little "bum high" today, something I am sure will level when she continues to grow and mature. Pleased to award her BP over her litter brother. Something I am sure that could continue to swap in the many shows to come. |
2nd | Johnson TARNLAIKERS PERFECT PINK Another lovely puppy. Loved her type and typical toller attitude. A shade longer in body than my winner, but a promising pup nonetheless. |
3rd | Ormes & Halpin DANEHAVEN OTTERTAIL |
Res | Fairclough TOLLERHOLME MIRACLE |
Junior Bitch (8 entries)
1st | Sharpe TIVALAKE CRYSTAL BALL AT ROSETTIA Stood on a smaller frame but a pretty young lady of excellent balance and style. A very typical feminine head and expression with good eye shape and colour. Well-made front with excellent muscle and especially deep chest. Presented impeccably with a strong topline and excellent hindquarters. Moved with style and grace. |
2nd | Powley DANEHAVEN JEMSEG Another youngster of excellent quality. Absolutely loved her head and expression. Correct shaped ears and set. Well angulated forehand and a particularly good depth of chest and excellent feet. Moved very well with reach and drive. Just a shame to meet 1 in such good form today. |
3rd | Edwards AFONBACH SONG OF ICE AND FIRE |
Res | Smith TIVALAKE ANYTHING GOES AT TOLLISTY |
VHC | Burgess MELANITTA SINAMAY |
Novice Bitch (5 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Edwards AFONBACH SONG OF ICE AND FIRE This little lady was my 3rd in junior and was another quality bitch. Gave a balanced picture standing and on the move. Well angulated front and a solid level topline leading into excellent hindquarters. Moved well. |
2nd | Rice TOLLERICE DANEYKO Such a prettly lady with a true toller attitude which oozed out of her. Level topline and so well-muscled throughout. Just a little finer than I prefer but nonetheless, balanced and in perfect proportion. Moved well and at one with her handler. |
3rd | Adshead AFONBACH DREAM OF SPRING |
Res | Fairclough TOLLERHOLME MIRACLE |
Graduate Bitch (8 entries, 2 absent)
1st | Pashley WAKADUZE WAH PEN DAH SKA A quality bitch with a very typical head. Good forequarters and well laid back shoulder. Good turn of stifle and well-muscled rear giving a strong positive movement. She did tend to dip her topline as she got tired in the challenge. Some core strengthening work should help this and I would like to see her when fully mature. Moved well but would like to see her character shine a little more. I'm sure she would be different in the field, at work. |
2nd | Foster-Brown STELLENBOSCH SAUSAULITO (AI) This bitch was most attractive in her appearance. Sweetest of heads and a kind expression. Slightly shorter in leg than my winner today, but in proportion to the rest of her body. Her movement was strong and positive in all directions. |
3rd | Powley BE FIRST CARDHU GARONERA FOR DANEHAVEN (IMP CZE) |
Res | Sharpe TIVALAKE CRYSTAL BALL AT ROSETTIA |
VHC | Adshead AFONBACH DANCE WITH DRAGONS |

3rd | Sharpe TIVALAKE CRYSTAL BALL AT ROSETTIA |
Res | Adshead AFONBACH DANCE WITH DRAGONS |
VHC | Rice TOLLERICE DANEYKO |
Limit Bitch (7 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Newson TIVALAKE MORE THAN WISHES A classical bitch that I have judged before, yet so much more mature now. Good head and such an alert expression, giving her handler 100% attention at all times. Pleasing front and standing on good tight feet. Firm, level topline and correct tailset, carried positively on the move. She moved with such positivity and soundness around the ring. |
2nd | Adshead DANEHAVEN VERMILION FOR AFONBACH Another bitch I have admired before. Nothing is overdone here, but moderate as the breed standard suggests. Loved her typical head and kind eye. Well angulated throughout. Just preferred the ring presence of my winner today. |
3rd | Ward MELANITTA GALATINA |
Res | West WAKADUZE WI MIMBE AT RAYNECHASER |
VHC | Johnson SEAHAVEN'S GLORIANA BY TARNLAIKERS |
Open Bitch (4 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Anstead SH CH/INT SH CH RIVERWATCHER PIKPAKTUK JW A very typical bitch in breed type. Although standing on a larger frame than I would prefer, everything was in proportion demonstrating a sound, balanced picture both standing and on the move. Pleasing bone and feet and an excellent depth of chest. Moved well. BB |
2nd | Fielder IR SH CH EUSANIT BEST OF THE BUNCH AT CRETSHENGAN This young lady left her coat at home today, but that couldn't detract from the quality underneath. Such a pretty head and happy outlook. Moved with such style and purpose. Just dipped her topline a shade in the class which lost her top honours, but nonetheless, one to watch for sure. |
3rd | Palfrey FLUSHPOINT WHATA ACCIDENT FOR MELANITTA SHCM (IMP SWE) |
