I thank all the exhibitors for their patience in waiting on me to judge their breed being second in the ring. This was my second time of judging this very special breed. Although the first time I had lots to choose from this time the entry was good but very different. I think the quality of the breed has fallen as I could never imagine that I would have had to withhold in a couple of classes. I really found some lovely dogs and my main winners were very typical of the breed. I must thank the stewards Kevin Royal and Lyn Tylson who stayed on in my ring after Cockers.
Puppy Dog (3 entries, 2 absent)
| 1st | Wardrope ALTER EGO RUSTYFOX (IMP CZE) Very attractive young man, just 10 months and fulfilling some promise for me as he is a lovely moderate size and so compactly built and constructed. Lovely clean shaped head, slightly rounded skull with high set dropped triangular ears. Balanced head into a wedge shape, slightly almond shaped amber eye well set apart, moderate stop, correct dentition. Clean throat some coat coming, moderate neck well muscled for his age, set into laid back shoulder, a level short backline to well set and carried furnished tail. Nicely angled fore chest to elbows held well in on straight boned legs and tight arched feet with body with well sprung ribs. Very stylish straight double rich orange coat with lovely feathering on body and tail. Well muscled hindquarters, good return of stifle and short straight hocks. Stylish mover and sound free action with good reach and drive. Well used tail BPD. |

| 1st | Newson TIVALAKE LET'S MISBEHAVE JW I loved the size and outline with compact balance of this 22 months old youngster. Very stylish clean-cut head of nice wedge shape, slight rounded skull, expressive almond shaped eyes with correct colour, high set triangular dropped ears well used, moderate stop, flesh nose good dentition. Clean throat well furnished to a muscled moderate neck, into well laid back shoulder and firm level short back to well set and carried tail. Deep chest and well ribbed sprung and well back a body with nice substance, covered with a flat well conditioned rich golden double jacket of nice length with good feathering. Straight forelegs with nice bone and tight round arched feet. Hindquarters well muscled with good return of stifle and short strong hocks. Lovely powerful stride with nice action with reach and drive. |
| 2nd | Wright CAMUSMOR CROWN ROYAL Very nice size and outline with overall balance but for me a 3 year old dog should be carrying a lot more weight which made him look tucked up on the stance. Handsome wedge shaped head well shaped skull with high set triangle ears with correct drop and use, expressive alert almond shaped dark eyes, moderate stop, good dentition and nose. Clean throat with some feathering, good strength to medium neck and well laid back shoulder in to level short back, well set, carried and used furnished tail. Enough depth to fore chest, well ribbed body needing more weight, lovely rich golden flattish coat with enough feathering. Nicely angulated front and rear, with straight well boned legs and well shaped feet could be tighter, hindquarters well muscled good return of stifle. Moved out with good action, little closer behind but has good drive and reach. |

Masculine head slightly round skull with high set dropped ears well used, head becomes a wedge shape to tapering muzzle, flat cheeks, good moderate stop, alert expressive almond shaped eyes. Flesh nose. Clean throat with some feathering, moderate strong neck into laid back shoulders and level short back with high set feathered tail carried well. Good depth of chest with elbows in on straight well boned legs and tight round arched feet. Lovely substance and body tone, with ribs well sprung back short loin, muscular hindquarters with furnished trousers, good return of stifle and short strong hocks. Beautifully presented coat of rich red with lovely body and leg feathering, plus a lovely carried and furnished tail with white tip, used well on his sound free powerful drive and reach. |

High set dropped triangular well used ears. Clean cheeks under almond shaped dark alert eyes, good dentition flesh nose. Head carried well on moderate neck, clean throat with furnished fringe. Firm level back to well set and carried and furnished tail. Very well conditioned and clean flat rich golden jacket with good undercoat nice feathering to body. Lovely angles and depth front and rear, body with ribs well sprung, hindquarters well furnished trousers, good muscles, with good return to his stifle and short hocks. Nice free mover covered ground, sound reach and powerful drive just little close behind. |

Holds himself well on the stance covering the ground well. Stunning correctly built head with rounded skull, high set dropped triangular ears used well to advantage, dark almond shaped eyes with lovely expression, clean cheeks, correct dentition. Proud head carriage on moderate neck strongly muscled, clean throat with some furnishings. Firm level backline to his well set and carried feathered tail with nice tip. Good front with depth to chest, well sprung ribs well back into short loin. Presented in clean, conditioned flat rich red jacket with lovely feathering. Muscular hindquarters, well turned stifle and short hocks. Lovely balanced legs well boned and tight round padded feet. Moves out so well with good side stride and sound back and forth, carries tail up with good carriage. |
| 2nd | Wakely RIVERWATCHER KAVIKSUK Really like this boy on the stance but on going over found him to be a little heavy and very deep, and being slightly over weight which showed in his movement. Beautiful well worked masculine head, so well constructed as fits the standard. Lovely dark almond shaped eyes give him breed expression. Would have liked a little more neck length, shoulders well set but a little heavy, short back and level to a well set and used tail well feathered with nice white tip. Well bodied and ribs sprung right back just carrying too much weight for me and with his cleanly presented heavy rich red and white marked jacket it made him look short on the leg. Although his legs were balanced and well boned with tight round feet, moved out well and is sound just looked heavy. As I love this kennels breeding was slightly disappointed. |

| 1st | Burchell TIVALAKE JINGLE BELL ROCK SHCM RL2 Really impressed by this 8 year old dog and was surprised to find he does not carry his title. Produces a lovely balanced outline on the stance and is so well built and on going over him, he did not disappoint. Lovely breed type head, nice skull with high set ears dropping forward with triangle shape. Nice foreface. Good moderate neck into well laid shoulders, firm short back to well set tail just not carried well would like a better carriage. Well sprung ribs well back, body with substance and depth beautiful rich golden coat with white markings, lovely feathering to body and legs which are well boned with tight arched round feet. Very sound positive mover with correct action. BVD BVIB. |

Very typical head correctly shaped skull tapering into a nice wedge shape. High set well shaped forward dropping ears. Beautiful shaped eye colour coming, clean lines, nice flesh nose good dentition. Moderate neck to well laid shoulders into a level backline to nicely set and used tail well feathered. Beautiful rich golden coloured coat of lovely flat nature with nice feathering coming, over a body well ribbed with depth and substance has a good front and rear depth and angles. Has a lovely movement and very sound with good drive. BSB Should have a bright show career. |
| 2nd | Burgess MELANITTA SINAMAY Very pretty headed bitch of 14 months with the correct wedge shape, good slightly rounded skull high set dropping forward triangular ears, nice dark almond shape eyes, moderate stop, good dentition. I felt for 14 month although a nice looking bitch she was a little unbalanced having a longer leg length than the length of her body. That for her age she could have carried more substance and depth, ribs were well sprung but could have been carried further back. A well presented rich red flat double coat with nice feathering coming. Chest lacking depth and was a little narrow, legs straight needing more bone, feet round. Correct hindquarters with good return of stifle. She moved out well just a little narrow at front and close behind. |

| 2nd | Collins & Powley DEVERON DUCHESS OF DANEHAVEN Just 7 months on the day and a lovely looking puppy on the stance being of nice size with overall balance and build. Head needs to strengthen as at present is a little long and narrow, lacks the skull development and wedge shape and is fine in fore face. Ears set high and carried forward, moderate stop, almond eyes a little light. Nice neck to shoulder and firm level backline to well set and carried feathering coming to tail. I would have liked her to carry more weight, substance and depth to her body, enough front but lacked in chest depth and stood narrow. Straight well bone and balanced legs with round tight feet. Presented in a good conditioned flat golden textured coat with enough feathering coming. Rounded hindquarters good return of stifle and short hocks moved out well with nice stride just a little close both ends but sound. |

| 2nd | Powley DANEHAVEN JEMSEG This was a most difficult class and decision for me, this bitch was so different from my class winner. Standing she looked too deep in body and too short on the leg and on going over her this was the position. Very feminine head nice skull and tapering to a wedge although it was a little narrow. High set ears not sitting or being used properly slightly heavy folded forward and this spoils her expression this with her eye shape and colour also spoils her expression. Moderate neck, clean throat nicely feathered, well laid back shoulders into a level backline to a tail well set but not being carried or used breed correctly. Well angled front with a lot of depth to her chest and brisket, deep body well ribbed back to a loin. Well developed hindquarters, with return of stifle and short hocks. Very pretty orange coloured flat coat with some wave, nice feathering. Well boned legs and tight feet moved out well a sound free brisk mover. |

| 1st | Newson TIVALAKE MORE THAN WISHES I was so pleased to find this lovely feminine bitch and could not believe that this quality 5 year old of good breed type had not already gained her title. Very attractive on the stance and worked well with her owner handler, she was just as nice to go over, as she was to look at on the stance. Very pretty correctly shaped and worked head, high set well dropped triangle shaped ears, moderate stop, dark expressive almond shaped eyes, good muzzle. Clean throat nicely furnished, strong moderate neck into well laid shoulders into a short strong level back to good rump well set on and used tail with very good feathering. A beautifully presented and conditioned rich orange jacket nicely feathered over a compact body, ribbed well back with depth to chest and body with substance. Correctly angulated front and rear, balanced straight forelegs well boned and furnished, tight feet. Rear with strong rump, nice trousers, return of stifle and short hocks. Very stylish mover and very sound both ways. Lovely tail carriage on the move. Pleased to award her 3rd CC and Crown BOS. |
| 2nd | Pashley WAKADUZE WAH PEN DAH SKA Slightly smaller in height than my winner and was a little longer in back she looked balanced and compactly built. Nicely angled front and rear with good tone to quarters, tight padded arched feet. Attractive wedge shaped head, good skull, high set triangular ears dropping forward, moderate stop, dark almond shaped eyes, good muzzle. Moderate neck, clean throat nicely furnished. Correct level backline to tail well set and carried. Good chest and brisket depth well sprung back ribs, body with good substance and presented in a rich red flat jacket with good feathering, nice white chest and foot markings. Straight legs well coated, muscular hindquarters good return of stifle, arched tight feet, free stylish sound mover with good side action and correct reach and drive. |

| 1st | Anstead SH CH/INT SH CH RIVERWATCHER PIKPAKTUK JW Love the type of Nova this kennel breeds and today this 4 year old bitch is no exception but for me she was just carrying too much weight which showed in her movement although sound was not as powerful in action but was very sound with enough reach and drive. Well developed wedge shaped head, nice rounded skull, high set dropped ear, nice stop, alert dark almond shaped eyes. Holds her head proudly on moderate neck, with clean throat furnished. Correct shoulders firm back to well set, carried and used tail well feathered. A body well angulated front and rear nicely toned with good legs and tight feet. Beautifully presented double rich red flat jacket with nice feathering and white tips to feet and tail tip. RCC. |
| 2nd | Collins & Powley DANEHAVEN DETROYES Such a different style and lacking a lot of Nova breed type. Rounded skull, ears used and held well, head is narrow through to a narrower foreface. Dark expressive eyes, slight stop. Toned short neck, shoulders laid back but topline was dipping. Tail feathered set and carried correctly. Well angled front with depth to chest with ribs well sprung back, nicely boned straight short legs, round foot shape could be tighter. Nice return of stifle and short hocks. Cleanly presented light orange double coat with slight wave, well feathered. Moved out covering the ground well was slightly narrow behind front with good action and sound. |
