It was a great pleasure to judge one of my favourite breeds and thank you for the lovely entry. The weather was perfect for the dogs but a little chilly for us mere humans. We had a good size ring so everyone could show their movement to best advantage. Type seems to be improving since I first became interested in the breed quite a few years ago. Head shape and especially ear carriage needs improving and I did find a few with upright shoulders and short upper arm. Round eyes are also spoiling the expression. I did find that temperaments were as usual lovely and friendly and hind movement was quite good with driving action from the hocks.

1st | Edridge CAMUSMOR BRUICHLADDICH AT TILITA SHCM Superbly presented in lovely coat and condition. Strong bone and feet. Head a little strong but well carried ears. Very powerful hindquarters, but was not using them on the day to full advantage. Was carrying a little too much weight over the loin. |

Open Dog (3 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Harding & Whitehill NAROD THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM His countless wins in the breed speak for themselves. I cannot add to his many tributes only to say that he still looks so good standing and moving. He can still teach the youngsters how to move with flowing rhythmic movement and he did the breed proud in the Group ring. BD and BOB. |
2nd | Roffey NAROD JOKER JACK 7 years old. Still enjoying the show ring. Moving well and retaining topline. |
