Thank you to all the exhibitors for contributing to my delightful entry. Who would have thought that September up north could bring so much sunshine, and such high temperature. That was as much a surprise as it was to see a full ring in so many classes. So many lovely dogs unfortunately went home cardless.
I really enjoyed this appointment, such a lot of quality out there and so much potential in a lot of the youngsters. As always, I was looking for a Toller who could fulfil the breeds' purpose and had the conformation to endure a days work. I absolutely loved my dog line up in particular, so many lovely boys pushing for those top results, it could have gone almost any way.
Grateful to my very efficient steward and also to the team who kept the cold water arriving.
Veteran Dog (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Davies KATMISTSKY'S SOUL DREAM RL6-EX Quite a lively veteran today who looks quite nicely balanced but appeared a little heavy around neck and shoulders. Very big double coat in good condition and tidy feet. Happy, jaunty mover with a lovely wagging tail. |
Minor Puppy Dog (2 entries)
Two lovely puppies.
1st | Nevers TOLLELKIN DREAM COVE AT SHELDRAKE Really well balanced with correct amount of bone, straight front columns and nice round feet. Good sized ears placed high and well back. Cleanly set on neck enhanced his well placed shoulders. Level topline throughout. Moved so effortlessly with a jaunty manner and lots of puppy style. Found his upper arm and coat slightly better than his second placed brother at the moment. Having gone over this boy, I can totally understand how he was awarded the CC recently. He is very promising with so much potential, but in my mind, he just isn't there yet, and nor should he be. Pleased to award him BPD, BP and see him take a well deserved Puppy Group 4. |
2nd | Elkin TOLLELKIN DREAM HARBOUR Many of the same comments apply to this boy, although a litter brother, he is at a different stage of development right now. Very happy boy, not quite as secure on the move as his brother but lovely happy tail carriage. Lots to like here though and when he gets it altogether he will be strong competition. |
Puppy Dog (6 entries)
1st | Fielder CRETSHENGAN TORRAN LOCH (AI) Most balanced boy in this class. Eyes darkening slowly but should blend with his coat as he matures. Liked him for bone and substance. Correct double coat which was straight, dense and lying well and with a very thick tail. Has promise. |
2nd | Trueman CRETSHENGAN LAKE ITASCA (AI) Attractive type and brother to 1, who was paler in colour but still correct. He has decent bone but a little out in front and would prefer better upper arm. Good turn of stifle and well set on neck in to level topline. |

Junior Dog (11 entries)
A class of promising youngsters.
1st | Rice TOLLERICE EBERLE Lovely boy, just right for his age. Very appealing wedge shaped head with a kind and confident expression. Excellent straight front legs. Adequate bone for size. Strong neck which was set on well in to level topline. In excellent coat with lovely tail feathering. His good angulation allows for really good reach and drive and he would benefit from moving out a little freer and very slightly faster to show this off. |

1st | Warren FIELDRANGER'S KUBLA KHAN FOR DELPHSTRIDER JW Mature boy at 2 ½ years. Liked his head and friendly expression with white blaze. Good bone but stood with front feet a little out. Fairly balanced with moderate turn of stifle and matching front angulation. Level topline. Good, thick coat over well sprung rib cage. Feel he has more to come. |
2nd | Wardrope ALTER EGO RUSTYFOX (IMP CZE) Unlucky to meet 1 today as I liked this boy. Another very nice, friendly expression. Would prefer slightly more neck and not in his best coat today. |

Limit Dog (5 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Elkin TOLLELKIN CAIFE AMERICANO Classy dog, so balanced, makes an outstanding picture in profile. Attractive, masculine head with good eye, well set and held ears. Strong neck which is well set on in to firm, level topline. Straight front legs with excellent bone and forechest, nice to see and feel. Correct double coat in magnificent condition and beautifully presented. He certainly catches the attention. Pleased to award him the CC, His first of many I suspect. BOB |
2nd | Wright CAMUSMOR CROWN ROYAL Well, where did this dog come from! Have to say, one I haven't really noticed before, but really good to go over. Correct wedge shaped head but not quite as masculine as 1. Well sprung ribs and level topline. Mid orange coat with lighter featherings and a happy tail. Moderate all over. At one with handler, especially on the move. He really grabbed my attention when I called him back to challenge, just so on his toes today, a really well earnt RCC. |

1st | Titovets MULTI CH MACDREAMS TRENT FROM CASHEL VALE JW SGWC RL3 (IMP NLD) Good all over proportions, making him moderate and well balanced. Appealing, friendly face. Straight front and correct forechest. In good coat of very dark red in colour. Well held topline and tail carriage. He made a good appeal in the challenge and was rather unlucky to meet the others on such form. |
2nd | Wright ERIKACHEN DAITHI OF WRIGHTPAW JW SHCM Another very dark in colour. Appealing head, broad in skull with alert expression. Excellent bone, topline and coat. A constantly happy tail which is lovely to see. I've always loved this boy, but he had very stiff opposition today who were on their 'A' game. |

Veteran Bitch (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Westwood MULTI CH EUSANIT APPLE OF ONE'S EYE JW Very nice girl, sweet expression and well set on neck. Carrying too much weight for optimum but still managed to move with a spring in her step and a happily wagging tail. Looking at the catalogue afterwards, I realised, I loved her as a youngster but never had the pleasure to judge her before. BV but disappointed she didn't stay to represent the breed in the veteran group. |
Minor Puppy Bitch (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Elkin TOLLELKIN DREAM DANCER Very feminine all over and well balanced. Sweet face with good head proportions (nose to stop being equal to stop to occiput) with eyes still needing to darken as expected at this age. Ears set and held well. Carried her topline level throughout. Bouncy attitude today. Very promising, but she will take time to really come together. BPB |
Puppy Bitch (2 entries, 1 absent)
1st | Rolf & Parker TOLLPEPPER ECHO'S HOPE FOR SKYSARIA Very sweet head, framed by good ear set. Eyes need to better blend with coat, but she still has time. Good bone for size. Level topline. Fairly well balanced proportions. Moved quite erratically at first but much better when more settled. Will be interesting to see her as she grows and matures. |
Junior Bitch (8 entries)
1st | Sharpe ROSETTIA SHINING LIGHT Very feminine face with lovely ear set and carriage. Neck well set on in to level topline. Good bone for size and neat feet. Very tidy bitch who is well balanced and this shows in the fluid, effortless movement. Beautifully handled showing her to her best. Lots of maturing still to do. |
2nd | Johnson & Shelbourn ERIKACHEN LAOISE Feminine head and good ear carriage. Another balanced girl. She has medium bone and a good topline. Not quite the coat of the winner today, but would like to see her when she matures. |

Post Graduate Bitch (8 entries)
1st | Moult & Savory CROFTWELL TICKETY BOO Attractive, balanced outline. Very alert, using ears constantly. Liked her bone for her size. She has a deep chest, well sprung rib cage and level topline. Moved in a jaunty manner on neat round feet. Maturing nicely, however, she doesn't always show herself off to her best and insists on tucking her back legs underneath her like she is about to pounce. I really like her but she nearly threw it away. RBCC |
2nd | Ormes & Halpin DANEHAVEN OTTERTAIL Another attractive, balanced girl. Had a look of alertness about her. Neck well set on in to level topline. Darker coat but correct. Moved very fluidly. |

Strong class.
1st | Davies CATCH FIRST YLVA GARONERA OF ARELECHEN (IMP CZE) Last judged her as a junior and she has fulfilled her early promise. Loved her overall proportions and outline in profile. Sweet, feminine head with good ear set and expression. Straight front legs, standing on neat feet with good bone for size. Not in her best coat today, but hiding nothing. Her movement in profile showed her best qualities. Pleased to award her the BCC, her first. |
2nd | Strevens TOLLELKIN CAIFE GAELACH AT TOLLISTY This girl caught my eye as she came in to the ring. Good head proportions ear set and carriage. Balanced and looking the full picture, however, she was a little skittish today and didn't show herself to her best and sadly had to give way for top honours. Lockdown has been good to her, she has matured and blossomed with a thick, glamourous coat. I'm sure she'll mean business soon. |

1st | Moult & Savory SH CH EUSANIT NAUGHTY BUT NICE FOR CROFTWELL JW Mature bitch with correct head proportions, carrying a massive coat and I needed to get my hands on properly to appreciate what is underneath. Her coat tends to stand proud over her croup and affects the look of her outline. Good bone and turn of stifle, although would prefer a bit more length of leg for balance. Very lively, happy and jaunty on the move. |
2nd | Powley BE FIRST CARDHU GARONERA FOR DANEHAVEN (IMP CZE) Another very nice bitch who is well balanced and with a lot of coat. Has good type and very alert. Ears set high and well back. Liked her bone and angulation. Tail set rather slopes off croup. Moved with a jaunty attitude. |
