I apologise for the very late appearance of this critique also for its generality. As those who showed their dogs under me will realise, I write my critiques whilst the dogs are in front of me after the finish of the class. Later I add their names and record if they won any other award. At Windsor where I judged every day, I managed to complete some reports at the hotel and I handed them in at the Our Dogs stand. Some of my critiques from Windsor have been printed and some have not. Our Dogs were made aware of this but the reports have not appeared. This critique is done from some brief judging book notes and from memory. I contacted some breed note writers to explain the circumstances and sent my apologies for the shortfall. I appreciate that some exhibitors are disappointed by this; I have not had problems with critiques in 50 years of judging and understand their frustration of exhibitors when critiques do not appear, but was nevertheless surprised to receive a reminder of this on messenger on Christmas day!

To pleasanter things- and those include the excellent entry, both numerically and for quality; it was a real pleasure to sort out these large classes. Some of the puppies were not well socialised and lacked confidence but the Best Puppy of the day, the bitch AFONBAX SYRAX is a cracker and she took the reserve CC in a good challenge line up.

Similarly, I thought the BOB winning male to be of top quality and he looked a real contender in the group ring.

The bitch CC winner was made up on the day - I can say quite truthfully that the day was a joy and the fact that I can remember the dogs now is testament to their lasting impression.

1^st	Head SPRITERUFUS TARANTELLA 2-year-old full size. Masculine all through. Carried himself well with correct tail carriage. Had the finish to win this. Best SB
2^nd	Kindell & Anstead EUSANIT PRIDE AND JOY VIA RIVERWATCHER JW 13-month, lovely quality and type and feminine and well made. I thought the dog had more presence on the day but I liked her a lot and did well in later classes should finish well.

1^st	Anstead MULTI CH RIVERWATCHER ATKA Amazing for his age – just a touch heavy in body now but a great mover with correct tail carriage. Good colour and coat. I liked his size and proportions.
2^nd	Dee MELANITTA CARELINUS 8 years old in lovely form. I like him a lot and was surprised to see he wasn't a title holder. The winner scored in head but he pressed hard. Later Best GC.

1^st	Lam & Leung TOLLISTY OUT TO GET YOU JW Had the pull in maturity to win this, well made. Went well. Could be a little more compact. Lovely presentation.
2^nd	Strevens TOLLISTY YOU CAN'T DECLINE I think these were two siblings and not much between them.

1^st	Fielder SCHINDOW JUNIOR COWBOY WITH CRETSHENGAN Mature dog in glorious condition. Caught my eye immediately standing and on the move. Didn't disappoint on examination and moved with drive and reach and correct tail. Won CC, his second and later BOB.
2^nd	Barker SH CH EUSANIT SILVR DREAM MACHINE I liked his compact balanced shape, good bone and correct feet. In lovely form. High quality RCC I gather he won the same award from me last time. Now a very worthy Champion.
