This is my last time judging the breed, and as I have been here since you were first introduced to the country I have seen a great deal of change, mostly for the good. Size is much more consistent, leg length to body depth, has firmed up, good toplines and tail carriage, decent rear ends, and good legs and feet. BUT where have all the forequarters gone. You are a retrieving breed and so depend on good front angulation if you are to save your dog from pain in picking up a heavy bird with poor front angulation. To see what this feels like try holding straight out in front of you a full large bottle of water in your hand for 30 seconds, it hurts, then bend your elbow and bring your arm into your chest, the pain is gone instantly, that is the difference between holding a bird in the mouth with poor angulation and then without pain in good angulation. Over the day I only found about 4 -5 good fronts., in the entire entry. I know I go on about this, but good fronts are there on a 9 week old pup, it’s not going to change and get better as it matures, what you have in a baby is what you will have as an adult, so why choose a bad front!!.

10 months, pleasing size and overall balance, head of good proportions, correct skull, eye, nose bite and ear shape, I would have liked a little moe angulation to the forequarters, well made through the ribs, topline, loin, tailset & carriage, excellent bone and tight feet, a sound mover, good use of tail on the move, decent coat. Best Puppy Dog & Best Puppy In Breed.

6 month baby, nice balance and size, pleasing in head, with good teeth, eye, nose, again would have liked a little more angulation In the forequarters, well made through the ribs, loin topline tailset & carriage. Tail carried little curled on the move, good legs and feet, excellent coat and furnishings, moved soundly.

1^st	Greenwood COEDHELYG SON SHINE JW 15 months, good balanced outline, needs to carry no more weight. Most please young male head, with good eye, teeth, nose and muzzle, would have liked to see better forequarters., well made through the ribs, topline, loin good tail carriage, a decent rear end, moving out well on good legs and feet. Excellent coat & furnishings.
2^nd	Stait AFONBACH BALERION 13 months old, “on his toes”, a really good overall shape and balance, pleasing head, good eye, nose, unfortunately jaw is now undershot, excellent neck set into not bad forequarters, super, ribs, loin, topline tailset & carriage, well made rear quarters,, moving out soundly on good legs and feet.
