My first set of CCs in a breed I have followed for many years. So honoured to have such a nice entry for SKC and some lovely dogs. The atmosphere round the ring was good and it was lovely to hear lots of cheering and applause, especially when the BCC was awarded.

I was very impressed with mouths, all bar 1 were very nice bites.

I had a few moving close behind, while they can “single track at speed” with correct convergence there were a few today who were moving ‘close’ behind where hocks are nearly touching.

Soft toplines also seems to be an issue.

Finally, handling! With a free stood breed, the handler needs to pay particular attention to the dogs topline. It is so easy to bring your dog’s head up which often results in a dip behind the withers, something evident in a few today, fortunately the dogs show they do have a good topline when the stand naturally or on the move.

Smith TOLLISTY RAUDR
I liked the outline of this 13mth D but would like a little less of him and a more open tail carriage. That said he is balanced and one of the better movers. Head of good shape leads through a correct length of neck into well made forequarters. A good lay of shoulder and a straight front. He carries a level topline over deep well-sprung ribs through a deep loin to a well angled rear. Moves true with drive.

2^nd	Copeland & Knowles EUSANIT IT'LL BE REET AT MENSTONIA A very nice 4yr old of good type & presenting a balanced outline. Masculine head of good shape with dark eyes giving a softer expression. Well made forequarters with good return of upper arm. Deep ribs, well sprung through muscular loins to a well angled rear. Moves out well, just a little flat on the stand.

1^st	Strevens TOLLISTY YOU CAN'T DECLINE A 4yr dog presenting a pleasing outline, well muscled and lovely to go over. Masculine head with well set ears and very attentive to his handler. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders, return of upper arm, straight front and neat round feet. Deep ribs well sprung through to a muscular loin and a well angled rear. Level topline to a well set tail. A true mover with reach and drive and a well carried tail.
2^nd	Brand COEDHELYG JINGLE ALL THE WAY This 3yr old was 3rd in the previous class. Good overall shape and size but for me a little feminine in head but with a lovely dark eye. Shortish neck into well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm. Handler needs to watch him on the stand as he can dip behind the shoulder. On the move he has a level topline with good reach and enough drive although was distracted by the food.

1^st	Barker SH CH EUSANIT SILVR DREAM MACHINE Well, this 6yr old certainly commands attention, paints a super picture on the stand and is unmistakably ‘Toller’. Presented in good condition he is lovely to go over. Masculine head of correct shape with well set ears and dark eyes into a correct neck on to super forequarters. well laid shoulders and return of upper arm giving forechest lacking in so many. Strait front with good bone and feet. Deep ribs under a level topline to a well angled rear. Best mover with lovely reach and drive. Pleased to award CC and BOB.
2^nd	Westwood IR SH CH EUSANIT PROPER JOB JW his 5yr was very sympathetic to his novice handler, making it easy for him and almost showing himself. Another of good type, presenting a typey outline. Liked his head, masculine with dark eye. Medium neck flows into super forequarters with well laid shoulders, good return of upper arm and excellent forechest. Well boned, straight front although feet could be better. Deep well-sprung ribs under a level topline, through a deep muscular loin to a well angled rear. On the move he was a little distracted by the food to start but a little correction and he concentrated to show true movement with reach and drive. Lovely tail carriage.

1^st	Anstead MULTI CH RIVERWATCHER ATKA VW Before judging I was talking to my steward about the longevity of this breed and this boy exemplifies this. At nearly 12 he is still a force to be reckoned with. Correct for overall type and shape and still full of life and very attentive to his handler. Masculine head of correct shape with well set ears on a correct neck into very good forequarters with well laid shoulders, return of upper arm and enough forechest. He still holds a level topline over his deep well-sprung ribs and his short muscular loin to a well made rear. So steady and true on the move with drive he could not be denied the RCC.
2^nd	Strevens SH CH ERIKACHEN CONAIRE AT TOLLISTY JW SHCM SHCEX VW Spoilt for choice in this class. Now 9½, I gave this boy BOB back in 2018. Still has a lovely outline and holding his topline. Masculine head of correct shape and well set ears. Super forequarters with good forechest, straight front and neat feet. Deep well sprung ribs to a muscular loin and good rear angles. Just a little closer behind that 1 today which is how fine the margins were.

Special Beginner Dog (2 entries)

1^st	Stait AFONBACH BALERION JW Liked this boy for his general type. 22mth he presented a good outline although can be soft in his topline on the stand. Pleasing head and expression with well laid shoulders & well made forequarters, Deep well sprung ribs to a short loin. Moved true with drive and hold his topline when moving.
2^nd	Ryder ARTHUNDUR DREAM COME TRUE This 3yr old stands well but today he seemed a little down. Pleasing head shape and he has well made forequarters with well laid shoulders and return of upper arm. Good depth of chest, a little long er in loin that 1 but had a well angled rear. He was rather lethargic on the move but held a lovely topline and good tail carriage.

Just 8moths and what a sweetie, and so feminine. I would like a little more substance at this age. Feminine head with correct length of neck into well laid shoulders and a straight front. Well sprung ribs of good depth. Good rear angles. Very steady on the move but a little reserved. BPIB

1^st	Strevens TOLLISTY SHINCHA 13mth and presenting a balanced outline. Very feminine and needs to body up but she has a lovely head and expression. Super forequarters with good bone and feet. Level topline and ribs of good depth. Moderate rear angles. Lovely mover, true with drive and ‘attitude’.
2^nd	Peat TOLLISTY GINGER CHAI Litter sister to 1 and very similar in many ways. A little taller at the moment and tends to straighten her rear which makes her bum high on the stand. Well made fore and aft although feet could be tighter. As with her sister she needs to body up but she moves well with drive and attitude.

1^st	Andrews TOLLELKIN DREAM SPRING AT JEMMATEE 3yr B who for me stood out in this class. Bottom end of the standard but balanced with good substance and so well made. Correct head, feminine of good shape with well set ears and an inquisitive expression. Excels in forequarters with well laid shoulders, return of upper arm and good forechest, straight front and neat round feet. Deep well sprung ribs and a deep muscular loin under a level topline. Well angled rear and correct tailset and carriage. A super mover, so true with reach and drive. Kept showing in the challenge to take the RCC.
2^nd	Smith TOLLISTY COULDN'T CARELESS JW Different in type to 1 but this 2yr old has lots to like. Feminine head of correct shape on a good neck to well made forequarters with well laid shoulders and good bone but feet could be better. Her level topline sits over deep well-sprung ribs with good forechest. Well angulated rear completes the picture. Another good mover with reach and drive.

Standing alone but a worthy winner I liked her shape and substance. Feminine head of good shape with dark eyes. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders, good forechest and return of upper arm. Good bone and feet. Deep ribs, well sprung under a level topline. Correct rear angle. A fluid mover with good reach and drive.

2^nd	Smith TIVALAKE ANYTHING GOES AT TOLLISTY JW This 6yr old is built slightly smaller than 1st but presents a lovely shape. Feminine head of good shape and a cheeky expression. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders, return of upper arm and a straight front. Deep ribs through to a well angulated rear.

1^st	Fielder IR SH CH EUSANIT BEST OF THE BUNCH AT CRETSHENGAN A super typey 8yr old who can still present a lovely outline. Feminine head of good breadth with dark eyes fixated on her handler. Correct length neck into well laid shoulders with correct return of upper arm to give forechest. Straight front and good feet. Deep ribs with good spring through to a well angled rear. So true on the move with reach and drive. In a lovely lineup she could not be denied the CC and ultimately BOS & BV. The resulting cheer, because this was her crowning CC, could be heard across the hall judging by the comments made to me during the day.
2^nd	Burchell TIVALAKE TEMPTATION HTM NOV-EX RL1-EX Another 8yr old presenting a good outline and showing well. Feminine with substance, correct through head and neck, WMFQ with good forechest, straight front and feet ok. Deep well sprung ribs under a level topline. Moving a little close behind today but nice in profile. Brought back in for the challenge and considered for RBCC
