Thank you to the Southern Counties Committee for inviting me to judge, and also to the exhibitors for their entries. I had two super attentive stewards, who kept the ring moving. Over all the quality was not as strong as last time I judged the breed. Be careful with weight, several nice exhibits were compromised by carrying too much and its much better to the dogs in correct weight and hard condition. The standard also asks for a level topline which was a point of conformation sadly lacking today.
Special Beginner Dog or Bitch (2 entries)
| 1st | Boyd SKYSARIA ETERNAL FLAME Liked his over all proportions, needs to drop into his rear end, but he is young and sure this will come, masculine head with clean cut skull, moderate stop, tapering muzzle, friendly and alert expression, correct set of ears, neck well set into sloping shoulder and return of upper arm, straight front, good spring and length of rib, good dense coat of rich colour and soft texture, liked him on the move, good foot fall and parallel front and rear. |
| 2nd | Gregory EXETOLLERS WHAT'S THIS Felt he lacked confidence and was a bit tense today, good dense straight coat, masculine head, straight front good pasterns and feet, well sprung rib, would prefer less slope on croup, and slightly less curve on the tail, well bent stifle. Moved well with nearly parallel movement front and rear. |

| 1st | Head SPRITERUFUS TARANTELLA I like this young dog, who has a good frame and at the right amount of finish for his age, good proportions, short level back, level topline, good skull and ear set and moderate stop, I would prefer more strength of muzzle, strong neck well set on, he has nice straight fore legs and tight round feet, adequate turn of stifle, he has a good rich red coat, jaunty on the move, and shows typical extrovert temperament. Show very well. |

| 1st | Fuard TOLLELKIN BAY OF ICE AW(B) BOB I think he just oozes quality, he is a big upstanding dog and like his over all balance and proportions, he is so at one with his handler and shows his confident intelligent biddable personality, he has masculinity and substance without being over done, has a real quality head and gentle and alert expression, strong neck into well laid shoulder, straight front, good pasterns and feet, deep well sprung ribcage, nice quarters with good bend of stifle and a deep thigh, he is a little wide in front on the move, but foot fall is correct and stride is free with correct foot fall. |
