Thank you for the invitation and honour of judging your Club's first Open Show. It was a pleasure I looked forward to, and it did not disappoint in the welcome, the sporting atmosphere and the quality and promise of the dogs present. The youngsters offer good hope for the future, and with the sound stud dogs, and brood bitch lines on show today, they should hold the breed in good shape for its future progress. I wish you lots of success, I found a good overall representative selection of dogs and bitches and as a Working Dog, I wanted to see this ability come through in the show ring. I felt my winners were of top quality and made for some close and interesting decisions in the classes, although restricted in the hall on movement, the dogs seemed active in most cases and the handlers managed to keep them on track. My BIS was Harding and Whitehill's Narod The Impossible Dream. Outstanding 7 yr old male on top form in superb condition and shown with great style. RBIS Westwood's young Canadian Import Can Ch Littleriver's Colonial Boy With Tollyhimmel. Sound dog, 19 months lots of potential and coat coming through. BP was a son of my BIS winner, Bradley's Camusmor Whattabargin For Ruddyduck. So exciting and pushing hard for RBD. BB was Westwood's Foxdown In Excess Over Eusanit.

Veteran Dog or Bitch (6 entries)

1^st	Roffey IR SH CH NAROD JOKER JACK Red dog with good outline and head, not quite the coat but good body shape, carries tail well, he's well muscled throughout and moved with style and purpose.
2^nd	Sanford DECOYMANS PIPER SERENA AT PALUDIC Loved the head on this lady, nicely balanced and alert, she has good muscle and quarters, good angles and moves at the right pace, close here in the end decision.
3^rd	Stacey & Copeland NEWFANOVA NORDIC XANADU OF AVONWHARFE SHCM Pleasing dog to go over, although not quite the movement or tailset today, shown in good condition and muscle.

Puppy Dog (5 entries)

1^st	Bradley CAMUSMOR WHATTABARGIN FOR RUDDYDUCK Solid youngster with a good overall strength and power, good bone and feet, attracts in tail and body, shown in superb condition and has that alert head and ear set, being on his toes and ready for action, BP.
2^nd	Roffey CAMUSMOR I HAD A DREAM WITH ACANUCK Loved the outline and balance, good shape and stance, nice through body, head developing well, he's good on the move and pushed his litter brother hard in the end for the decision.
3^rd	Stobbart CAMUSMOR WHATADREAM Nice balance to the outline, although slightly finer through at this stage, good on the move with excellent proportions in shape, uses head and neck well (what a litter, congratulations).

1^st	La Turner HILLSCOURT BARON THEOBALD Lively powerful youngster with good overall balance and shape, used head to advantage, coating but not losing the outline.
2^nd	Marshall DANEHAVEN CORNWALLIS Pleasing outline with good power and muscle, little longer in back at present, and could tighten at rear feet, but moved with purpose and held tail.

1^st	Gibson PALUDIC YULETIME PRESENT FOR ERIKACHEN Red with strong body, well balanced outline, good quarters, and carries tail well on the move, he attracts in head and neck, has a good outlook and attitude, good stride on side gait.
2^nd	Gilbert BAJAN PRINCE OF PIPERSHEATH Worked hard and shown in great condition, not the ground control and cover but excellent in shape and balance, one to develop.
3^rd	Skelly JABY OAK Good overall with nice outline not quite the action front and rear drive, but working hard with the handler.

1^st	Bradley CAMUSMOR KNOCKANDO AT RUDDYDUCK Good overall balance and shape, nice in profile, good easy action, liked the chest, head, ear and eye, he moves well on good quarters and his firm muscled body gives a solid picture.
2^nd	Powley DANEHAVEN MACKENZIE Profile movement is really good, excellent in balance and chest development, good in loin and rear, pleases in head and went close.
3^rd	Strevens AQUACADIAN FLIN THE RED AT TOLLISTY More substantial dog with larger head balance, carries a good action on the move.

Limit Dog (3 entries)

Strong, powerful dog with great coat and tailset. Excellent balance and strength overall, carries good type and style in body, head qualities balance this body, good eye and ear set, he has a good front with quality bone, he moves with a positive front, rear and side action, pushed the main winners hard in the end decisions.

Open Dog (8 entries)

1^st	Harding & Whitehill NAROD THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM What an impressive dog, from the moment he entered the ring until the end of BIS he never stopped showing, he worked hard for his handler standing and on the move, he has the class and style called for, great type in head, good eye and ear, strong neck of medium length, good through body and chest is well filled. He has good muscle in topline and loin, has a lovely tail carriage, good coat and moved with a stylish action he could have kept up all day. BD, BIS.
2^nd	Westwood & Johnson CAN CH LITTLERIVER'S COLONIAL BOY WITH TOLLYHIMMEL (IMP CAN) 19 months old, good throughout with excellent shape and style, he has good balance in body and quarters, good muscle in topline and loins, he has well let down hocks, giving him the drive from the rear in his action. Attractive in head and skull with good jaw and soft mouth, he is alert in eye and ear and on his toes in expectancy, his coat needs to finish in quality but his tail and movement carried him through to take RBD and RBIS.
3^rd	Sanford PALUDIC EXTRA PLEASURE Pleasing dark red in good shape and coat moving with a good action and ground cover.

1^st	Powley FALLOWFEN FOXY LADY AT DANEHAVEN Won a super puppy class of promising youngsters with her lovely head and outline, she is balanced at this stage with a good eye and ear set, she carries a good front, chest and nice development in body, she moves on good angles and has a bright future.
2^nd	Gibson CAMUSMOR ANY DREAM ULDO FOR ERIKACHEN Another of quality from this lovely litter, she has a good outline, carries type and balance, she is developing a good shape and angles, has a good tailset and does exceptional 'Sits'
3^rd	Baker FALLOWFEN FOXY MADAM AT SILVERBRIAR Lighter build at present but good angles and movement, ears need to settle, she has good rib length, shoulder and topline, hope she fills and develops to her potential.

2^nd	Macleod & Hussey CAMUSMOR MADJESTIC VISION Although fifth in the puppy class this young lady was more settled and worked well to gain her place here, she is taller than her litter mates, has a great expression and alert aspects, carries nice angles and was moving well, good through front and rear with good balance to her side action.
3^rd	Akehurst RIPPLERUSH FANFARE Shown with good body and condition, this youngster was enjoying her day playing up her handler, she has the right type in head and balance, a good coat, tailset and muscle, she needs to settle to show off her movement to the full.

2^nd	Hodge BEAUSJOUR THREE TIMES A LADY Well balanced red with a good type head and ear set, pleases in neck, chest depth and body, she is good in bone and moved well once she got going.

1^st	Macleod & Hussey CAMUSMOR TOMINTOUL Good bone and substance greet you on this young lady, she carries a well proportioned head, skull to muzzle and jaw, good body chest, but slightly longer loin, great tail carriage and usage, moves with the right action, considered in line up.
2^nd	Lovett CANDEEBAR CHOCTAW DESIGN Pleasing bitch of nice size, good shape and moving well on side gait, would like more use of the tail and not quite the front of 1, good flow of neck into topline, strong colour.

1^st	Powley DANEHAVEN TASEKO Lovely bitch with good outline and balance, nice through head, neck and front, deep chest, strong topline and rear quarters, moving really well on side gait holding her tail to advantage.
2^nd	Page PALUDIC PROMISE TO SEASMOKE Liked her well made head and expression, nice body and rear, good over topline, neck and tailset, she was moving holding the outline, just losing coat to spoil the picture.

Open Bitch (9 entries)

1^st	Westwood FOXDOWN IN EXCESS OVER EUSANIT Impressive quality and muscle on this lady with her well made shape and balanced outline, she has a good head and skull, alert and alive eye and ear set, strong front, bone and frame, she lacks a little coat but holds herself well on the move and obviously enjoys her work, BB.
2^nd	Sanford PALUDIC PLEASURE Beautiful eye, ear and head set, she has a good body and shape, lovely width of rear quarters and a mature muscled body, she has style and moves well, close for RBB.
3^rd	Rogers QUOYGARD SKY Lovely bitch with a good skull, muzzle and ear set. Quality held tail but just slightly longer in body and loses the balance, moves well in action.

A well filled class, I would have liked to have used the outdoor facilities for this one, which included a large pond formed by the constant rainfall, I'm sure these dogs would have loved it!
